May 28, 2014
President Mary Bradshaw welcomed QBTB Guild members and visitors.
Membership: Marcia Cramer
One new member was welcomed—Ruth Prinz and one visitor---Emily
Minutes from April were presented for any corrections and were approved by voice vote.
Hospitality: Vicki Gleason
The following people had May birthdays: Becky Curneen—May 12; Dorothy Loveless—May 23; Sharon Maes—May 20; Sandy Pickering—May 25; Alice Tierney—May 20; Melanie King—May 26
Treasurer’s Report: Krystal Johnson
Balance—$16,000.00 which includes retreat money
Raffle Quilt: Rose Flannigan
$620.00 has been turned in, $1340.00 is out
Calendar available to sign up to take the quilt to Calico Threads during Shop Hop.
People are also needed to take the quilt to other guild meetings.
Face Book: Mary stated that she has started a face book page for QBTB. It includes
links, pictures and a calendar. Mary will offer a tutorial on using face book and the site if people are interested.
Retreats:
Fall Retreat is all set.
Spring Retreat—April 9-12 is full, but not all people have paid the first $150.

There is still a need for Program Chair person or people.
Small Groups: Mary Bradshaw would like to hear from each small groups telling where and when they will meet, so it can be added to the face book page.
Applique and Hand quilting group will meet June 27 at Joyce Momii’s home at 10:00.
Long Arm Quilting will meet the second Tues—June 17 at Sandy’s at 5:30.
Charity Quilts: Batting is still available and so are labels. Contact Nancy Keay or Barbara Kadden.
Garage Sale: The 2nd Saturday in Steilacoom
Challenge Quilts: Due in June and July as we have a program “Out of Africa” scheduled for June.

Emily—Visitor shared a doodling quilt and an Art quilt
Norma Jean—Block of the month quilt and table runner
Dorothy—Christmas tree skirt for granddaughter
Vicki—Quilt of diamonds done in reds and tans
Vicki & Sandy—Kitchen Quilts—Stitchin’ in the Kitchen quilts done in a class they took

Program: Sit and Sew Everyone seemed to enjoy the evening sewing and visiting.
