August 2014 Meeting Minutes

QBTB held the regular meeting on August 27.

We meet at 5:30 and shared dinner. Irma had a raffle of quilting goodies.

Membership cards were passed out and our brochures have been printed in color. Volunteers will be needed to deliver the brochures to our local quilt stores. Change of information cards have been made and will be available at every meeting at the sign in desk.

September is National Sewing Month and Rose will be going to the University Place Library to see if we can hang quilts during the month. This will help with advertising Quilters by the Bay.

September Our Other Selves. Bring in artifacts or stories about other interests or hobbies that we have. This will help us to get to know each other better.

(3rd Wednesday) Christmas Party and UFO Rolette Challenge and Block Party

UFO Rolette Challenge Write down 6 UFO's on sheet of paper and in September at the roll of a dice, you will try to finish the quilt on your list that matches that number. Sheets will be available at the September meeting if you were not at the picnic. Finish date is December meeting.

Block Party Irma has two blocks that she is providing the background to complete. You can choose batik or a traditional block. If you were not at the picnic you can pick this up at the September meeting. These will be due in December. We will draw names two people will win the blocks.
