April 2012 Meeting Minutes

QBTB held the regular meeting on April 25.

First of all, I would like to apologize for missing the meeting.  As secretary I am responsible for showing up to take notes or arranging for a substitute.  At 9 pm last Wednesday I suddenly realized that I had totally forgotten the meeting.  That is amazing since I had even sent out the meeting reminder!  I am embarrassed and appreciative of our president for bailing me out with her notes.

The board discussed the job descriptions for the secretary, vice president and programs chair.

The meeting began with the introduction of a guest, several birthdays and the Gig Harbor guild who sold tickets for their raffle quilt.

Members were reminded that raffle tickets for our quilt are available for pick-up.

Becky reminded members to pick up labels for charity quilts from her.

The final payment for the fall retreat is due at the June meeting.
The amount is $135.00

Sheryl Phaff shared the following about the Spring 2013 retreat:
      Dates:  April 12, 13, and 14
          The brunch and dinner plan will be used again.
      Cost:  $210
      First payment due at the July meeting
      Second payment at the November meeting

Susan Harmon did a program on Broderie Perse, an applique method from France.  I hear it was interesting and well received.
